Journey of Motherhood

May 31, 2012 · Leave a Comment

God has blessed us as mothers to our precious little children.

He is not keeping a score of how many days a week our kitchen is spotless and our floors are clean. Checking if the toys are in its place and the laundry is neatly put away. He has given us more than we can imagine as mothers.

As mothers we have a huge calling. Little hearts trusting our every move.

We wake early and our days do not end when our children go to bed.

We are mothers all the days of our lives.

We do daily tasks that seem unimportant or unnoticed but we are still their mother.

It is through the little things we do that we show them our love.

Taking time away from work, dishes, and laundry to play a game with them.

Snuggling in bed with them and having little conversations of our day instead of rushing them to bed to watch a tv show.

Praying for their safety and their little prayer requests big and small even for superheroes and princesses.

Leaving my personal time until later to swing on the swings with them just a little longer.

Letting a call go to voicemail to finish that story with them uninterrupted.

Learning bible verses and reading the word of God together. True and Noble words.

Teaching them to trust in God with all their hearts and his will be done not mine.

Extending grace, kindness, and forgiveness when they are disobeying or not sharing with each other.

When our children are grown and have walked through life I hope they will still count on me, trust me, and know my love for them.

When they are grown I pray they will walk with God. Have a strong foundation of Faith that was modeled in our home.

The simple things that matter most.

Learning in this journey of Motherhood and teaching them as we grow. Teaching them through experiences and Love.

Finding joy in Motherhood. The look our children give us when we meet their little needs before our own.

Your are mine forever.

Through this incredible journey of Motherhood we have the King of Kings cheering us on.

Well done good and faithful servant.

because Motherhood is a calling and Ministry that God has called you to.
