Awkward and Awesome Thursday

April 12, 2012 · 2 Comments

Hello, it’s Thursday! And yes tomorrow is Friday… I love weekends..there is something about Fridays. Today I am starting the Awkward & Awesome Thursday Posts. Sharing a little bit of my awkward and crazy moments and of course the AWESOME ones.

Awkward:

– Running into yet another wall at work and the same guy that works there too seeing it again…and again. I want to wear a sign yes it is me again. the one who runs into walls and oh yeah wears her clothes backwards too. Nothing new here. Just me. not awkward at all.

– my daughter screaming at the check out lane while shopping at Old Navy. She is beyond sleepy and she decided she couldn’t live with out that $30 Hello Kitty camera. Ten minutes of this and everyone was staring. they were probably starting to wonder if I kidnapped the poor child screaming Go Back! I know most would have left, but let me to you girls, this mom worked way to hard to find those shorts, did I mention they were the last ones. Darn those toy racks at the check out. Are they expecting exhasuted moms with screaming kids. Oh come on!

– My love and my 5 year old having a conversation about crickets not having bones because they are insects. I ask my husband, they don’t have bones. He asks, are you kidding me.

– posting on facebook about eating the last of the peanut butter cookies last night. It was that kind of day. I forgot to mention hubby was at work. Hubby is home tonight and pulls the bag down and ask where are all the peanut butter cookies? The awkward part looking at him with a look of me! me! I did it and then hesitation of oh sorry you wanted some too?

– forgetting a grocery bag in the car last night. My jalapeno ranch is now in the el trasho {yes I know this is not the correct spanish word but I like the way it sounds}

– dropping my Starbucks Frap in the parking lot while loading groceries and toddlers. Didn’t get one sip. Standing there staring at the poor pitiful whip cream melting away. Then realizing someone was watching me watch the poor whip cream.

Awesome:

– my co-teachers are awesome and always take care of me! Thanks for the Skinny Mocha my sweet friend!

– making dinner the night before and popping it in the oven. Thank goodness this girl has no energy to cook.

– Sprouts is having a big sale tomorrow! that is what I am looking forward to on Friday. I know I get excited like a kid in a candy store over the littlest things.

– my hubby said he cheated on me today. He ate chiloso without me. One of our favorites. He loves me though. He brought me his styrofoam cup and I am drinking my tea in it tonight. I am a little obsessed with styrofoam cups.

– Finally remembered to pick up a book I ordered at church.

– Sharing my life with all of you! Love ya! Muahhhh!!

If I had a dollar every time my kids threw a fit- I’d be a rich woman!!! 🙂 Sometimes you just have to ignore it and go on! 🙂

And let me just say you are the only person I know that has such an adventure in such a short period of time! Hugs!

Holy cow! Iove it!!! I’m so with you…Old Navy is so nasty for putting that junk at the check out. It’s not a little either! It’s the whole dad gum waiting isle! Yuck!
I read the frap part to Justin and we both chuckled hard! I so would have tried to scrape some that didn’t touch concrete. Just kidding…well maybe! Lol
    Thanks for the chuckles!

Chalkola + Birthday

We celebrated our sweet girl turning 12 years old! She loves all things horses, rainbows, and farm animals. I loved being able to spoil her with her favorites for the day. Riding horses, horse and rainbow cake, family time, pizza, and this adorable Chalkola Chalkboard. I am not an artist but the Chalkola brand chalk […]

His Love

This world is full of sorrow and suffering and death. But thankfully, this world isn’t it for us. Because of God’s greatest gift of salvation, we have the hope of the world to come, where there is no suffering and peace surpasses everything.  The storms that are raging and crashing all around us….will stop. That sickness […]
