This was our last week of Preschool and Pre K and endings to other activities as well as we roll in to summer. I have been more tired than I realize and have fallen asleep a few nights this week in my child’s bed laying with him. That never happens since I always have a million things to do after they are sleep and before they wake up again. {yes my kids still wake once in the night but it doesn’t bother me one day they will not wake and need momma anymore}.
Although it was a tiring week it was pretty awesome too!
Awkward
– Falling asleep twice this week with kids putting them to bed {not awkward} but waking early morning with my contacts feeling glued to my eyeballs trying to get to my bathroom and not running into any walls causing anymore bruises or broken toes.
– having a fearful mommy protective moment at the water park with my 5 year old. I have a huge fear of water. My son decided he was doing a water slide {obviously not a huge one but still in the water} I find him in line at the top. I somehow manuever my way up this kids obstacle course on wet platforms climbing rope ladders to try to stop him from going down the slide. I see my husband below and I am yelling at him to go to the end of the slide all the while he is giving me a thumbs up that he is ok. Obviously he doesn’t think like I do! So as my son sits down to go on this slide I start my way back down this crazy contraption while water is shooting out of random sections and I am in a swim dress cover up {not really wanting to get wet} and God decides to teach me a lesson. As I step on the last platform a hug water fountain sprays up and soaks me, going up my dress, and all over my face! It was a total scene from Nemo. “No Nemo you can’t do it, Yes I can!”
– putting things away in the house so I don’t lose it and forgetting where I put it and yet again spending time trying to find it.
Awesome
– watching my soon to be 4 year old daughter learning to skip everywhere we go. She is determined!
– scoring $2 tank tops at old navy and a blouse I have been wanting for $8 instead of $17 so I got two!
– My husband and my kiddos surprising me with a belated Mother’s day present. A sweet claddagh ring from James Avery. My sweet 5 year old son picked it because he said it was a princess ring with a heart.
– feeling better each day with new treatment for my migraine disorder.
– It’s Summer time in our house! I am off for the summer and we can have lots of family time. We are planning a family vacation to Colorado to visit family.
