Believing

November 25, 2013 · Leave a Comment

Believing in and following Jesus is not always easy. Even some of his early followers deserted him because they just couldn’t understand. Jesus wanted his disciples to trust in him even when they didn’t understand.

Has there been a time in your walk with Jesus that you didn’t understand his ways and doubted or maybe just pulled away back in your comfort zone? I have. I have doubted. I have pulled away. Tough times and good times. I just didn’t understand. But God didn’t give up o me and he never will.

So I keep believing.

I believe in his grace, love, and mercy. I believe in the people. Even the ones that we don’t want to have anything to do with because of their choices. Who am I to judge? I am called to love you unconditionally even if it’s not easy.

I believe there is something amazing in each and every one of us in this fallen world. Just waiting to be noticed and loved by others.  A glimpse of goodness that pulls us in.

I believe in the soft whispers of you are enough and the shining light that Jesus shows us even in the darkest moments.

As we approach Thanksgiving this week I am reminded how much God has truly blessed me with.  A place I can call home, clothing that we can be warm in, food to nourish our bodies, and time to make more memories.  I am thankful for every encounter I may have with a stranger.

When I fell to my knees many times pleading and screaming at God why me? He reminded me in ways that I do understand and believe. He speaks to me through his mighty creation that I can see.

The rushing ocean waves at the beach. the way the sun light peeks through the clouds and creates a gorgeous sunset at the end of each day. The smiles and imagination of a little child challenges me.

I am always taken back to the story of Job. He lost everything. Even his family. He held fast to the truth and believed in the word.

“I have not departed from the command of his lips. I have treasured the words of his mouth more necessary than food.” Job 23:12

Through all the struggles and trials of life I am reminded of Job and I believe. I may not always understand the whys of the trials but I understand that I am loved and he will never forsake me.

I believe.

I am in awe of Jesus. Each day I pray to have a heart of faith. I pray for a quiet spirit. I rely on God so heavily and this is refreshing and uplifting.

Today let God invade your world and your heart, helping you not to understand, but to believe. Believe in his creation. Believe in  yourself.  Believe in others. Don’t let the busyness of the world, the stupid distractions that Satan tries to pull you down with, nothing at all get in the way.

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is stand firm in what you believe.

Believe in yourself. Believe in myself. Jesus does. With this I will live out my purpose and share my  journey along the way. And when I fall to my knees, many times along the way, I believe that Jesus forgives me when I fail, I am restored by his Grace, and I am free to follow him.

Because I Believe……

We celebrated our sweet girl turning 12 years old! She loves all things horses, rainbows, and farm animals. I loved being able to spoil her with her favorites for the day. Riding horses, horse and rainbow cake, family time, pizza, and this adorable Chalkola Chalkboard. I am not an artist but the Chalkola brand chalk […]

His Love

This world is full of sorrow and suffering and death. But thankfully, this world isn’t it for us. Because of God’s greatest gift of salvation, we have the hope of the world to come, where there is no suffering and peace surpasses everything.  The storms that are raging and crashing all around us….will stop. That sickness […]
