Remember the Mother

May 3, 2017 · Leave a Comment

Mother’s day is different for all mothers but also very real. This Mother’s Day, remember all the different mothers celebrating and grieving.  If I am honest, sometimes I miss the innocence of Mother’s day and what it could be before my sweet baby died but I am also so very thankful to be her mama. Mother’s day can be an incredibly hard time especially for those that are mourning. Being a stillbirth mama I completely get it. Eleven years later I still have moments where I think of her name and it just takes my breath away. I have mourned many Mother’s days but I have … [Read more...]

Loyal Tribe of Women

February 12, 2017 · Leave a Comment

I have wrinkles and my hair is always a mess. I have flaws and my heart has been broken many times. I am not a perfect wife or mama and I get stressed and sometimes raise my voice. I am emotional and vulnerable. I am clumsy. I make big messes when I cook. I can't seem to always get my laundry put away. There's many nights I have dishes in my sink but I'm just too tired to clean. My house is not like the ones on tv but it's our home that we built with love. BUT I am honest. I am passionate. I love with everything I have. I am empathetic and compassionate. I am driven to … [Read more...]

Chasing a Heart Like His

December 2, 2016 · Leave a Comment

Friends! I wanted to share with you a friend, a sister in a Christ, a precious soul, and beyond that. A person who is truly chasing after a heart like HIS. My amazing friend Jena is preparing her heart to go new places for HIS kingdom. Jena and I met three years ago through our love for graphic tees. She designed and created tees to share the love for God to others. I absolutely love graphic tees that spread the word and I just had to have every single one she made. Not only did I receive amazing tees that she prayed over for me but more importantly I have the … [Read more...]

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month

October 9, 2016 · Leave a Comment

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. Ten years ago we lost our sweet baby during childbirth, she was stillborn. That day my heart felt ripped from my chest and my soul shattered. Holding my baby for the first, last, and only time. Sometimes I wish I could go back to that very moment and kiss her forehead one more time. Tell her how much I love her and I will miss her very much. Whisper in her ear that she will never be forgotten. Tell her it is not the end of our story and we will meet again. Physically holding her and whispering sweet … [Read more...]

His Love

This world is full of sorrow and suffering and death. But thankfully, this world isn’t it for us. Because of God’s greatest gift of salvation, we have the hope of the world to come, where there is no suffering and peace surpasses everything.  The storms that are raging and crashing all around us….will stop. That sickness […]

Grief

Just over 13 years ago my world changed drastically with the tragic death of our sweet baby. She was our first child and we lost her unexpectedly.  After 9 months of dreaming, planning, and counting down the days until she was born, my pregnancy ended in a full term stillbirth. I was in labor and […]
