July 7, 2017 · Leave a Comment

I love all sorts of yummy peanut butter and chocolate recipes but I'm in love with Energy Bites.  You could search pinterest and find all sorts of healthy and quick recipes for this little bite of goodness. They are satisfying and perfect for on the go. We will be road trippin' this weekend so I decided to make a quick batch hoping to keep me out of the chips and candy! I doubled the recipe in the picture. Energy Bites: 1 cup oats 1/2 cup shredded coconut 1/2 cup Nutella 1/4 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup ground flaxseed 1/3 cup honey 1 tbsp coconut oil 1 tsp … [Read more...]

Chicken Noodle Soup

January 9, 2017 · Leave a Comment

We had some cold weather here in North Texas this last weekend and we even saw snow! Even though it didn't stay long we loved it!! Cold weather makes me crave a hot bowl of soup so I was excited to make some homemade chicken noodle soup. With these busy work and school days it's always so helpful to use my crock pot. You can definitely make this on the stove too and use a rotisserie chicken that's ready to go. I just add to the mix after everything is brought to a boil.  This recipe makes enough for 4-6 servings so feel free to adjust to your family. 2 boneless … [Read more...]

Fresh Salsa + My Fav Tee

March 12, 2015 · Leave a Comment

Chips and salsa is seriously like my favorite food ever. I can eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Oh and snacks too. This is my total version of comfort food. Yummy. Crazy. Irresistibly. To Die For. Good. If you chat with me on Facebook or Instagram you know I love chips ad salsa. I make salsa at least every week or every other week. My husband and my kids love salsa too! It makes a large jar but goes fast in our house. So today I am sharing my recipe. 3 house tomatoes 1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes 1 medium purple onion 3-4 cloves garlic 1-2 jalapenos, … [Read more...]

His Love

This world is full of sorrow and suffering and death. But thankfully, this world isn’t it for us. Because of God’s greatest gift of salvation, we have the hope of the world to come, where there is no suffering and peace surpasses everything.  The storms that are raging and crashing all around us….will stop. That sickness […]

Grief

Just over 13 years ago my world changed drastically with the tragic death of our sweet baby. She was our first child and we lost her unexpectedly.  After 9 months of dreaming, planning, and counting down the days until she was born, my pregnancy ended in a full term stillbirth. I was in labor and […]
