We completed one week of Kindergarten and it was a success. My son loves it just like I knew he would. He is an eager student and loves the “big boy” role he has developed. When I take him to school I now have to drop him off at the big double doors or sign in to walk him to the gym, which is like ten steps.
God knew my anxious heart because the day they changed this I had left my wallet in the car. So I stood there and he said Mom I can walk to the gym. I watched those ten or so steps with a feeling of a piece of me walking away. I exhaled a big sigh and thanked God for his protection.
This summer my emotions and anxiousness had built up with fears of him going to Kindergarten. I worried if his teacher would ask him if he needed help if he was too shy to raise his hand. I worried that they would lose my child in this big building or put him on a bus by accident. I had images going through my mind that I made myself sick. As the days got close to school starting if anyone asked are you ready for school I would tear up.
God gently reminded me that this was Satan working on my fears, my worries, my anxious heart. He gently reminded that he is not the God of confusion.
“God is not a God of confusion but a God of Peace.”- 1 Corinthians 14:33
God is never-changing. We can come to him anytime, for any reason, big or small. We can tell him everything and he will fill our anxious hearts with peace. The peace of God.
As we started a new week of Kindergarten I am filled with peace. I do worry but I give it to God and pray first. Asking him to replace my worry with peace. Peace from a never changing God. And yes I will still be watching those ten steps down the hall, which is a huge step.

This picture has nothing to do with my post but I am excited how it turned out. My pinterest inspiration new bedroom wall. I used curtains from my living room I was wanting to replace. What do you think? I am on the hunt for a personalized pillow that is either monogrammed or says His & Hers….Hmmm.
Love,
