His Love

October 4, 2019 · Leave a Comment

This world is full of sorrow and suffering and death. But thankfully, this world isn’t it for us. Because of God’s greatest gift of salvation, we have the hope of the world to come, where there is no suffering and peace surpasses everything.

The storms that are raging and crashing all around us….will stop. That sickness that has no cure…will be gone. That horrible thing that happened to you that you just can’t seem to forget..will be erased. The devastating losses that you have endured…will be wiped away. The brokenness inside you from unfulfilled promises, shattered dreams, and hearts torn apart…will all be made whole. All of the disappointments in life you have faced.. will be redeemed.

All the things. All of it wiped away in his presence.

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

I’m not trying to make light of any of these circumstances you have faced or currently walking through, but Jesus is using those trials in this fallen world for his glorious kingdom. Jesus is transforming you, if you allow him.

Through your pain, your heartache, your trials, your losses, everything your enduring, he is using to form Christ in you. To be made holy in his presence. To be glorified for him. To build a presence of kingdom hearts.  And when he comes for his children and we stand before him, all of this will no longer matter, and we will be left with perfection.

Wholeness.

Beauty.

Only good.

Only Christ.

Set your mind on the things above and not of the things on earth. This is what makes all of those unbearable things bearable and even joyful. Because we know his promise is for good and not for harm. We know that he is with us.

Then the wolf shall be a guest of the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; The calf and the young lion shall browse together, with a little child to guide them . . . . There shall be no harm or ruin on all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be filled with knowledge of the LORD, as water covers the sea. (Isaiah 11:6,9)

We know the things we endure will help us serve a purpose and perseverance to finish the race for this earthly life and heavenly life to come. Rejoice in his goodness and his promise. It is his love that brings peace that the world cannot comprehend. With his peace we are secure in his everlasting love. We know that our troubles and hard times will not last forever, and through it all he is walking beside us. Leading us on.

Isaiah 65:17 See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.

And if you are struggling with heartache, defeat, anger, hurt or anything that feels too much to bear, please remember this. Don’t believe the lies satan wants you to hear such as if things are going wrong in your life then God must not care, or we are doing something wrong. Cover it in truth that God uses those hard things to meet a need, a need we may not see, to bless someone through us. Nothing is wasted. He sees the big picture, he has it all planned out. We just have to stay the course and trust his mighty and glorious plan. Even if we never see the end result. There is a good plan. God is using this, All of things in this fallen world, for his glory. Because that’s his love. Endless, glorious, unstoppable, faithful, almighty love for each and every person.
