Little Souls

June 8, 2013 · Leave a Comment

Life is a beautiful adventure. It’s an awesome ride of ups and downs but we learn and grow stronger through the journey. We have emotions that overwhelm us. Family that needs us. Little souls that are in my care. So precious yet so challenging.

I struggle sometimes with those little souls. Am I doing what is right? Am I raising them to be the person God needs them to be? I struggle sometimes with myself. Am I enough? With Motherhood I have learned from my children I don’t have to be a perfect mother but there are a million ways I can be a good mother.

Summer is officially here and I am looking forward to putting aside all the busy schedules and expectations of others and intentionally focus on these little one’s hearts. Focus on where God is needing me to work on myself as a mother. To grow their minds and grab hold of their creativity set a spark.

Lord, Thank you for your children. A precious gift from you to teach and love. Please guide me each day with the wisdom to teach them. I pray that I am joyful and show kindness and when I do make mistakes, and I will, I pray that I am humble to teach them that lesson. Give me patience and grace to guide them in the way they should go. Use me as an example of your love and forgiveness. Amen.

When my son was just a baby I had a children’s Thank You prayer book that I read to him every night. We then read it to my sweet daughter after she was born too. Although we have moved on to bigger books now. I still remember this prayer and it touches my soul every time. I found the beautiful picture on pinterest of that prayer. I absolutely want this for my kitchen nook.

Haven and Home: Quiet Time. A great prayer to teach the children. various-delights-for-the-kids

Enjoy your summer with your little ones.

Chalkola + Birthday

We celebrated our sweet girl turning 12 years old! She loves all things horses, rainbows, and farm animals. I loved being able to spoil her with her favorites for the day. Riding horses, horse and rainbow cake, family time, pizza, and this adorable Chalkola Chalkboard. I am not an artist but the Chalkola brand chalk […]

His Love

This world is full of sorrow and suffering and death. But thankfully, this world isn’t it for us. Because of God’s greatest gift of salvation, we have the hope of the world to come, where there is no suffering and peace surpasses everything.  The storms that are raging and crashing all around us….will stop. That sickness […]
