Mother’s day is different for all mothers but also very real. This Mother’s Day, remember all the different mothers celebrating and grieving. If I am honest, sometimes I miss the innocence of Mother’s day and what it could be before my sweet baby died but I am also so very thankful to be her mama. Mother’s day can be an incredibly hard time especially for those that are mourning. Being a stillbirth mama I completely get it. Eleven years later I still have moments where I think of her name and it just takes my breath away. I have mourned many Mother’s days but I have also celebrated. . Mothering is so much more and we can honor all walks of motherhood and remember those mothers who are hurting.
Remember the mother who is hurting.
Remember the mother who is raising her babies all on her own.
Remember the mother who is grieving the loss of her baby.
Remember the mother who buried her child with a heavy broken heart.
Remember those who are still longing to be a mother.
Remember the mother who was waiting to bring home the baby she longed for but her adoption fell through.
Remember the mother who is exhausted from all the sleepless nights she laid awake longing for her sweet baby who captured her heart the minute she saw a heartbeat or felt a sweet kick.
Remember the mother who will never get to celebrate another birthday, Christmas, or mother’s day with her child.
Remember that Mother’s day is an amazing day to celebrate all of those amazing mamas around you but also a day to remember all of those amazing mamas who are reminded this day of those sweet babies they would love to squeeze and kiss each every day.
