As I head to bed feeling exhausted from the tedious jobs us moms do daily. Jesus awakens my soul with his loving reminder he is there. He is with me everywhere I go. Everything I do. The good, the bad, and the ugly. He is there.
Being a mom of little ones the days are long and the nights are short but He is there.
He is there in the crumbs that have been swept fifty times today and the floors that need to be mopped again.
He is there in the mountains of laundry that needs to be washed, dried, folded, and put away for your family.
He is there through the sink of dishes that you wash several times a day.
He is there through all the snack bowls, the cups of juice, the washing hands, bath time, and prayer time.
He is there.
He is there when you need a friend to cry to because you feel depleted.
He is there when you read your bible, during your bible studies, he is through it all.
He is there through your marriage during the difficult times and the fun times.
He is there in your home. Every step of the way through every step of the day. He is there.
Have you seen him lately? I am convicted today as I pray to him daily for my children, my husband, my friends, everything around me, yet I forget sometimes he is already there. Working on the details in my ordinary life as a mom, a wife, and a friend. He is there to guide me through the chaos some days, the cleaning of the house, especially when I feel that is all I do.
He is there.
I pray that if your tired and exhausted where God has you tending to these babies day in and day out that you will let Jesus awaken your soul and meet him right where you are at.
What you are doing is not unseen. Although you may feel small you are a part of a big story.
He is walking with you waiting to tell you I am here with you. You are amazing. You are doing wonderful works for his kingdom.
Are you listening and meeting him where you are?

I love it, I felt tired of all the snack bowls yesterday, and of course the crumbs. Wyatt hasn’t been sleeping well lately so I’m just plain TIRED. He’s asleep in my lap right now while I’m supposed to be getting Jared ready for school. I guess he’ll just have to miss the bus today, maybe even be a tad late. Thanks for the reminder that I’m not alone in my daily walk, I’m glad He’s next to me 🙂
You are so not alone! I am there with you too in the mommyhood! SO thankful that we have a gracious God to walk with me through it all and with friends like you as well. Loving your blog!!
